Atlantic Lacrosse girls search for Easter eggs at Cape Henlopen

A 10-year tradition always held on Holy Thursday
April 3, 2018

Holy Thursday, Batman!

Each year over the last 10 years, the girls from Atlantic Lacrosse are hosted on Holy Thursday by the Cape Henlopen girls’ lacrosse team for an Easter egg hunt, along with a modest skills competition. The afternoon is festive, leading into a long Easter weekend followed by spring vacation for most schools.

Four young athletes from the Atlantic program will be selected to dress for a Cape varsity game, which includes warming up and getting introduced with the Vikings.

Atlantic Lacrosse plays recreational club lacrosse in the Eastern Shore Youth Lacrosse Association, an eight-team league on Delmarva.

Home games featuring U9, U11, U13 and U15 teams are played every Saturday, beginning Saturday, April 7, when Cape will host the Queen Anne’s program at Hudson Fields.

The Cape high school team will host the Queen Anne’s County High School Lions the same day with junior varsity action starting at noon, followed by the varsity game at 1:30 p.m.
