Ricky Preston Foskey, talented painter
Mr. Ricky Preston Foskey, 59, of Georgetown passed away peacefully Sunday, June 24, 2018, with his family by his side.
Mr. Foskey was born in Salisbury, Md., Aug. 30, 1958, to the late Preston H. Foskey and Dianna Sanders who survives him. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his wife, "the love of his life," Gloria Jean Foskey in 2011; grandparents Virgil H. and Hazel M. Foskey, and Joseph H. and Blanche M. Jones; and a brother, Darryl Craig Foskey.
Ricky was a skilled painter who over the years worked for various painting companies. He had a good heart, and was always willing to help out anyone in need. He also had an ornery streak, full of life and fun. Ricky enjoyed a cold beer, classic rock ‘n’ roll music and riding on his golf cart. He loved his nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his mother, Dianna Sanders and her husband Harold of Liberty, S.C.; two sisters, Crystal Price and her husband Burleigh of Georgetown, and Lisa Toomey and her husband Steve, also of Georgetown; and a sister-in-law, Connie Foskey of Millsboro. He also leaves behind to cherish his memories, several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, July 1, at the Dagsboro Fire Hall, 31818 Waples St., Dagsboro.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to help offset final expenses, to Crystal and Burleigh Price, P.O. Box 102, Horntown, VA 23395.
