Author, CNN anchor Jake Tapper to appear at Browseabout July 5

June 28, 2018

Browseabout Books will welcome CNN anchor and author Jake Tapper as part of its exciting author series this summer! He will be signing copies of his latest book, “The Hellfire Club,” Thursday, July 5 from 5 to 7 p.m.

In this debut political thriller set in McCarthy-era Washington, D.C., Congressman Charlie Marder discovers a conspiracy at the highest levels of government after his predecessor's mysterious death. New York Times bestselling author David Baldacci says that in “The Hellfire Club,” "Tapper uses his storytelling chops to deftly put you in the moment when Joe McCarthy was waving his infamous paper and the Congress was at peak skullduggery. ‘Hellfire’ is a potent thriller, replete with well-developed characters that made me think that history does indeed repeat itself."

Tapper is also the author of “The Outpost: An Untold Story of American Valor” and “Down & Dirty: The Plot to Steal the Presidency.” He joined CNN in 2013 and currently hosts the popular weekday program “The Lead with Jake Tapper,” as well as the Sunday morning program “State of the Union with Jake Tapper.”

Tapper continues a thrilling summer at Browseabout, with authors Cristina Alger, Jessica Merchant, Lisa Scottoline, Francesca Serritella, Beck Dorey-Stein, Christopher Swann, and many more still scheduled to appear. Stop in the store at 133 Rehoboth Ave. or call 302-226-2665 for more information.
