Ann Gail Schoener, successful barber

Ann Gail Schoener, 68, of Rehoboth Beach passed away Friday, Sept. 28, 2018, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes after complications from COPD.  She was born Jan. 31, 1950, in Lebanon, Pa., daughter of the late Paul and Anna Mae (Masser) Burkholder.

Mrs. Schoener made her career as a successful barber in her family business. She was a lifetime supporter of the Delaware SPCA. She also raised two capuchin monkeys for the Helping Hands program that trains monkeys to help people with spinal injuries and other mobility impairments.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Schoener was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Schoener; and her sister, Kathleen Wiest. She is survived by her sons: Paul C. Kreiser of Milton and James A. Kreiser of Rehoboth Beach.

Services are private. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
