Annual fireworks show July 3 brings the masses to Bandstand, Boardwalk

Rehoboth Beach began the Cape Region’s celebration of Independence Day with its fireworks July 3. The annual event brought thousands of people to the beach.
If you missed the show, there’s still plenty of fun to be had. There’s a whole slate of events happening July 4 in Lewes – children’s games at 9 a.m., boat parade at 2 p.m., the Doo-Dah Parade around 5 p.m. and then the second annual Go Fourth Lewes fireworks display. Henlopen Acres is hosting its annual parade at 9:30 a.m. Bethany Beach has a parade at noon and fireworks tonight. Dewey Beach’s annual fireworks display will take off from a barge in Rehoboth Bay.

The fireworks brought a lot of people to town.
There was a slight chance of rain to begin the night, but it never materialized.
The Boardwalk lights seem to be making this firework brighter.
Folks line the beach walk-ons for a good view.
A lot of people, as evidence by all the lit up screens, video taped the fireworks themselves.
Many houses in Rehoboth have decorated for the holiday.
There may have been another business with a giant blowup doll, but Union Home Mortgage’s was the most visible.
