Frances (Stamper) Hauer, retired secretary

Frances (Stamper) Hauer, 75, of Lewes unexpectedly went home to be with the Lord Sunday, July 14, 2019, at Celebration Hospital in Florida.  She was born in West Virginia Aug. 29, 1943, to the late Juel and Inez Stamper

Fran worked as a secretary/receptionist at Beebe Hospital and a bookkeeper for Graves Men's Wear for many years. She was a member of many organizations, including the Elks Lodge.

Fran loved her family and friends and loved spending time with them.  She was an avid bingo player.  She enjoyed traveling and visiting Disney World with family.  She also enjoyed birdwatching, especially hummingbirds.

Fran was preceded in death by her husband, James Hauer; son Donald Martin; and sister Jewel Bullins. She is survived by her son Dean Martin and wife Robin; three grandchildren, Richard Martin, Melissa Martin, Christina Sharff and husband Steve; two great-grandchildren, Hunter and Haley; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial will be held at Fran's home on Stamper Drive, Lewes, Tuesday, Aug. 6, at 6:30 p.m. She will be buried with her husband at Epworth Cemetery in Rehoboth.  Interment will be private.
