Drew Stuart, security guard

Drew Stuart, 55, of Millsboro, formerly of Putnam County, N.Y., went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020, at his home.

He was born in Allentown, Pa., March 5, 1964, son of the late Ward Willis and the late Ethel Mae (Gerhart) Brophy.  Drew worked as a security guard with the Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel, N.Y., for over 15 years before moving to Millsboro.  For the last five years, he was employed as a security guard with Mountaire.  

Drew was a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan, had an affinity for Snoopy, enjoyed playing darts and was also a fan of soccer.  He was a simple man who was happy with a good meal and a hot cup of coffee.  Drew was a hard worker who provided for his children.  His life revolved around his daughters and grandchildren.  Drew was a born-again Christian and enjoyed listening to Phil Driscoll and Third Day.

He is survived by his four daughters, Melissa Ann Cu and her husband Oscar of Millsboro, Elena Claire Boesch and her husband Bryan of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Christina Lynn Stuart of Highland, N.Y., and Alicia Joy Stuart of Millsboro; four grandchildren, Daniela Rose Stuart, Richard Cu, Sophia Cu and Nathaniel David Andersen; the mother of his children, Laura Slocum of Millsboro; three brothers, Shawn Brophy, Gary Brophy and Kyle Brophy; and a sister, Veronica Moatz.
