Paul Howard Collins, loved farming
Mr. Paul Howard Collins, 72, of Georgetown passed away Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2020, at PRMC in Salisbury, Md.
Mr. Collins was born in Hillsboro, Texas, to the late Howard W. and Myrtle R. McConnathy Collins. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a daughter, Lori Ann Collins.
Paul was a farmer and worked for Workman Inc. for many years. He loved farming and always had a vegetable garden. He enjoyed dining out and his favorite restaurants were Cracker Barrel and Smith’s Café where his favorite meal was chicken and dumplings. Paul was a hard worker and loved helping others. He loved the outdoors, and he also loved his cats and his “grandgoats.”
Paul loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Joyce Ann Mitchell Collins of Georgetown; two daughters, Michelle Lynn Collins and her companion Thomas Jackson of Laurel, and Melissa Ann Collins and her companion Dorian Williams of Millsboro; and a son, Jay Allen Collins. He also has two brothers, Roger Francis Collins and his wife Brenda, and Preston Lee Collins and his wife Sue, all of Georgetown. Paul also leaves behind three grandchildren, Damontae Lee Williams, Hailey Mackenzie Collins and Mariah Ariannah Wise; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 4, at Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call from noon to 1 p.m., for viewing and visitation. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Pastor Allen Miller will officiate.
