In our latest installment of Meet the Athlete we are going to take a look at a three sport athlete from Lake Forest High School. In preparing for writing this series, I did not want to focus solely on athletes from my school, Cape Henlopen High School. I have friends who attend other schools, but because we all grew up playing, and eventually coaching, on various club and travel teams in the area we have been able to form a strong friendship.
Hailey Moore is a senior at Lake Forest High School where she a member of the swim, lacrosse, and field hockey teams. Lake Forest is a member of the Henlopen Conference. As a mid-fielder on the field hockey team, she serves as team captain and has lead a program that to deep post season runs. The past five seasons saw Moore play for Delaware Shore. She also serves as a travel coach with me on the weekends during the winter. The two if us coach a 14U indoor team. Hailey also coaches two different indoor league teams, as well as a referee for Delaware Shore. Field hockey is certainly her first love.
This fall she plans on attending Newberry College in South Carolina where she will play field hockey. Newberry College is a Division II school and participates in the South Atlantic Conference. In the classroom, Hailey will major in Exercise Science and minor in Business. Please be sure to follow her athletic career and wish her luck. Go Hailey!

Abby Kane is a senior at Cape Henlopen High School. She currently is enrolled with the Career Pathways Program at Cape Henlopen High School. Abby is completing her responsibilities at Factory Sports in Lewes, DE where she is gaining experience within the Sport and Recreation Business. Abby plans to attend Belmont-Abbey College in the fall and major in Sport Management.
She is a member of the varsity field hockey and swimming teams. Kane also is an instructor with Delaware Shore Field Hockey.
