Mechanic starts new on-site help
No one knows when automotive problems are going to strike. On a daily commute, a visit to the store or at home, emergencies happen. Emergency service memberships can be expensive, and towing can be a hassle.
Mechanic to the Rescue, a new business based in Felton, is ready to combat the inconvenience of getting immediate car care.
John Myers, owner of Mechanic to the Rescue, has been in the automotive industry since 1999. He graduated from Del Tech and has worked as a state inspector, mom-and-pop mechanic and fleet mechanic. Twenty years of experience has molded Myers into a jack-of-all-trades, ready to work on both gasoline and diesel vehicles.
“People are a little bit leery of a mechanic coming to their house,” said Myers’ wife and co-owner of Mechanic to the Rescue, Lana Myers. “But we live in a world where everything is now mobile, and everything moves so fast. John will do everything from diagnosis to repair on site. There’s no need for towing anymore.”
John Myers noted that it’s his honesty and care for others that put him above the rest.
Myers is also helped by Anthony Snipes, a man with special needs who lives with the Myers family as part of their Peaceful Liberty Care business. With Mechanic to the Rescue, Snipes has been given an opportunity to work and help.
“Snipes is a hardworking man,” Lana Myers said. “Sure, he has special needs, yes, but he’s working a job where he can learn a trade. He loves it and has passion. Now he can do oil changes by himself.”
Mechanic to the Rescue is available on call anywhere in Delaware and on the Delmarva Peninsula for all vehicular needs, from oil changes to tire repair.
