DIY MASK

March 31, 2020

For that next necessary grocery store trip I’ll be wearing my new “protective gear”—a homemade mask that reminds me not to touch my face and, sadly, to keep my distance from others.

I’ll be picking up vegetables, potatoes, greens, beans, whole grains, mushrooms, fruit, nuts and seeds for daily meals that satisfy and help maintain a strong immune system. No meat, cheese, poultry, fish, or dairy for this household, because we have learned that human consumption of animal products is the root cause of environmental degradation, animal suffering and human suffering, namely from chronic disease and pandemics.
