A crash Nov. 4 on Route 1 caused a van to flip over on its side.
The crash happened at 8:14 a.m. in the area of Old Postal Road, Lewes, when a Lewes woman, 27, driving a silver 2012 Ford Escape in the far right southbound lane was rearended by a white 2016 Ford Transit operated by a 40-year-old Wilmington man, said Master Cpl. Heather Pepper of the Delaware State Police. After the collision, Pepper said, the Transit exited the roadway and struck a curb. The vehicle continued traveling into the grass and hit a stop sign before striking a light pole and rolling onto its right side where it came to an uncontrolled stop, she said.
