David Holland Fiske, government retiree
David Holland Fiske, 80, of Rehoboth Beach passed away Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2020, at his home, surrounded by family. He was born April 14, 1940, in Philadelphia, Pa., son of the late Edward Ransom Fiske Jr. and Jean Bogardus Fiske.
Mr. Fiske attended William Penn Charter School in Philadelphia, Wesleyan University in Connecticut and University of Pennsylvania Law School. He was a proud veteran, having honorably served in the U.S. Navy. After his service, he built a career as a government employee with time spent in the U.S. Senate, FEC and retiring with the FCC. Above all, Mr. Fiske cherished time spent with those he held most dear. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Mr. Fiske is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Mary Ann Fiske of Rehoboth Beach; his grateful children: Alexander H. Fiske of Washington, D.C., Benjamin B. Fiske (Katherine McElhinny) of Washington, D.C.; his granddaughter Quinn Fiske of Washington, D.C.; and his brother, Edward B. Fiske of Durham, N.C.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, services will be postponed until the spring when it is safe for friends and family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes.
