Sussex Tech moves to remote learning through Feb. 26
Sussex Tech officials announced Feb. 23 that the district will move to remote learning through Friday, Feb. 26, out of an abundance of caution after recent positive COVID-19 test results among people connected to the campus child care center.
Both Sussex Tech High and Adult Education Division programs will shift to remote, and staff will also work remotely for the remainder of the week. The campus will undergo a thorough cleaning and sanitization in the interim, officials said, and the decision was made in consultation with Delaware Division of Public Health.
The district encourages families to monitor students for any COVID-19 symptoms, which may include fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, muscle aches, fatigue, chills, shaking with chills, loss of smell or taste, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, or headache, congestion or runny nose without a known cause such as allergies.
