Eudokia Papagiani, owned olive farm
Eudokia Papagiani, 92, of Georgetown passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at her home. She was born Feb. 2, 1929, in Megaloxori, Greece, daughter of the late John and Mersini Troizely.
Mrs. Papagiani and her husband owned an olive farm in Plomary, Greece. For the past 17 years she lived in the United States. In her free time, she could often be found in the garden attending her flowers. Mrs. Papagiani also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing and praying. Above all, she enjoyed time spent with those she held most dear. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Papagiani was predeceased by her beloved husband, George Papagiani, who passed away 22 years ago. She is survived by her son, Dimitri Papagiani; and her daughter, Mersini R. Stephanis.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 7, at 11 a.m., at St. Andrew the Apostle Orthodox Church, 33384 Mackenzie Way, Lewes, where friends may call beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will follow the services at St. Peter's Cemetery, Pilottown Road, Lewes. Arrangements have been entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
