Delmarva Christian High School’s annual royal ball took place June 5 and June 12 at the Wheelhouse in Lewes.
The royal ball is designed to celebrate what students accomplished throughout the school year while also teaching them how to honor one another.
“The two nights were a huge success. This year especially, we used the royal ball to encourage one another and build each other up as I Thessalonians 5:11 tells us,” said DCS Head of School Matt Kwiatkowski. “The royal ball is not about dancing, fancy dresses, or finding a date. It is about building each other up by learning how to socially interact in a positive way.”
Students enjoyed a meal and view of the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal in a beautifully decorated banquet room at the Wheelhouse at Fisherman’s Wharf in Lewes. On June 5, the junior and senior classes were treated to an evening cruise on the Cape Water Taxi. The freshman and sophomore classes opted to stroll around town and visit the beach after dinner.
“We are appreciative of the incredible staff at the Wheelhouse for hosting our students two weekends in a row and to the master captains at Cape Water Taxi & Tours for a wonderful evening,” said Kwiatkowski.
