Milford Sr. Cpl. T.J. Webb given Law Enforcement Purple Heart

Milford Police Chief Kenneth Brown presented Sr. Cpl. T.J. Webb with the Law Enforcement Purple Heart Award on behalf of the American Police Hall of Fame and Museum at the Milford City Council meeting Sept. 27.

Webb was hospitalized with gunshot wounds last December that he sustained during an attempt to apprehend a wanted man at the Econo Lodge on Route 1 near Rehoboth Beach while working with the First State Violent Fugitive Taskforce. Webb spent a week at Christiana Hospital before being released. He was greeted on his way home by emergency responders from throughout the state who were parked along the shoulder of Route 1 and on overpasses to show their support.
