Carol Mihalik, clinical studies manager
Carol Mihalik, 67, of Millville passed away peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021. She was born July 5, 1954, in Sayre, Pa., daughter of the late Gilbert John and Dorothy Jane (Shiffer) Mihalik.
Carol graduated from Upper Merion High School in King of Prussia, Pa. She continued her education at Cedar Crest College, from which she earned a bachelor of science degree in laboratory medicine, and later attended New York Medical College where she earned a master’s degree in pharmacology. A longtime resident of Hamden, Conn., Carol was a manager of FDA clinical studies for major pharmaceutical companies such as Bayer, Pfizer and Eli Lilly. She moved to Delaware in 2017 and retired in 2019.
Carol was a “mother” to numerous cats during her life. She enjoyed gardening, painting, reading, working on her loom, and walking the local trails. Carol was a loving sister, aunt, and friend who was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Carol is survived by her brother, Michael Mihalik of Fernandina Beach, Fla.; her niece, Zivana Mihalik of Manhattan Beach, Calif.; and her nephew, Skyler Mihalik of Fernandina Beach.
Honoring Carol’s wishes, no services will be held. Final care has been entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkin-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
