Riedel-Planer engagement announced
Ms. Heather Cannon of Milton and stepfather Mr. Patrick Cannon of Edgewater, Md., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Rebecca Robin Riedel, to Thomas Planer of Cranford, N.J.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Cape Henlopen High School and a 2009 graduate of Rider University, where she received her degree in elementary education and fine arts. Rebecca is currently an art teacher for prekindergarten through eighth grade at P.J. Hill Elementary School in Trenton, N.J.
The groom is the son of Ms. Patricia Gallagan of Cranford, N.J. He is a 2005 graduate of Cranford High School and a 2009 graduate of Rider University, where he received a degree in computer information systems. Tom works as a web developer at J.K. Design.
The couple met in 2005 as members of the Rider University track and field team, where Rebecca ran long distance and threw the discus and javelin, and Tom was a high jumper. A June 2012 wedding is planned.
