Rehoboth Elementary names spelling bee champion

For the second year in a row, Mohammad Azem was named Rehoboth Elementary School Spelling Bee Champion.
Rehoboth Elementary students participated in the Scripps National Spelling Bee program for the 2021-22 school year in a new online testing platform.
Remote and in-person students were able to access the online spelling bee and vocabulary test via their school-issued iPad at school or home. The online test included audio pronunciation for all words and an integrity pledge which all spellers had to acknowledge, along with a time limit and Scripps’ suggestion that parent or guardian proctors witness their child’s test.
As school champion, Mohammad represented Rehoboth Elementary at the Delaware State Spelling Bee held March 5 at St. Mark’s High School in Wilmington.
