Cape grad Jack Dennis takes Region 19 awards for Del Tech

Cape Henlopen 2019 graduate Jack Dennis recently cleaned up awards at the Delaware Tech Athletic Awards Night held at Dover’s Terry Campus.

Dennis received EPAC Player of the Week honors twice this spring season. He received the Del Tech team MVP for 2022. He was also presented Region 19 All-Region honors, Region 19 Offensive Player of the Year, Region 19 Player of the Year and was voted to the 2022 NJCAA All-American Team.

Dennis was second in the NJCAA in goals, second in the NJCAA in points and fifth in the NJCAA in assists.

“Jack Dennis is simply the total package when it comes to a student-athlete,” said head coach Sean Tischler. “He is a fantastic leader with a follow-me mindset, and at the same time, a great listener. He’s totally coachable and a total force on the field, and one of the funniest guys in the locker room. He was a total joy to be around, and he will be missed by all of us.”

Tischler received the 2022 Region 19 Men’s Lacrosse Coach of the Year.

Del Tech attack Connor Christie of Milford also took home 2022 All-Region honors along with Matt Kracyla of Middletown and Brandon Tice of Lake Forest. Christie also was named a 2022 NJCAA All-American. Face-off specialist Louis Savino of Middletown was presented the Team Sportsmanship Award. Bryce Wells from Milford also was presented with an EPAC Player of the Week honor during the 2022 season.

Cross country team member Kaitlyn Cavallucci, a graduate of Sussex Tech, took home 2022 Region 19 All-Region honors, was named to the EPAC Academic team and claimed the Team MVP Award. Elizabeth Masci was named to the Region 19 All-Region team, while Rene Eastburn was named to the EPAC All-Academic team.

Men’s cross country runner Joe Volk received EPAC All-Academic team honors, was named to the Region 19 All-Region team and earned Team MVP.  Jacob Gordon received Region 19 All-Region honors, while Reese Lohman and James Volk took EPAC All-Academic team honors.
