Jennifer Smith, loving daughter, mother

Jennifer Smith, 44, passed away Monday, July 18, 2022, unexpectedly at Kent General Hospital in Dover.

Jennifer was a loving mother, daughter, and sister. She enjoyed spending time with her family and going out with her friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Edward Caldwell; and her grandfather, Robert Gill.

She is survived by her mother, Debra Caldwell; her children, Day'ja Smith and Anthony Stevens; her stepchildren, Antoine Person (Paige) and his children, and Tyrone Smith Jr. and his children; her sister Sarabeth Houchens (Taye) and her children, Asayshia, Aiden and Adriana. She is also survived by her maternal grandmother, Phyllis Gill; her close cousins, Nicole, Carrianne, Jennice and Britney; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, July 28, at Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 N.W. Front St., Milford. A time of visitation for family and friends will begin at 1 p.m. Interment is private.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the GoFundMe, or contributions to the funeral home to defray costs.
