Browns celebrate 65th anniversary March 20

Thelma Bryan Brown and Roy H. Brown of Lewes, formerly of New Castle, celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary March 20. They were married at Newark United Methodist Church on the first day of spring in 1947.
Roy retired as a captain in the Wilmington Fire Department in 1970. Thelma retired from Delaware Trust Company in 1982, where she worked in New Castle and Lewes.
They were blessed with three daughters, Donna Friswell of Townsnd, Andrea Downs of Milton and Vicki Fahey of Newark. They have six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Their lives have been busy with golf, travel, University of Delaware football and family.
