Louise M. DeBastiani, talented cook
Louise M. DeBastiani, 75, of Milton, formerly of Ligonier, Pa., passed away Sunday, Oct. 23, 2022, at Delmar Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Delmar.
Louise was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., Sept. 13, 1947, daughter of the late Amedeo E. DeBastiani and the late Asunta L. (Nuzzo) DeBastiani. She graduated from Swissvale Area Joint High School in 1966.
Louise was an avid and talented cook. She also enjoyed knitting and teaching CCD classes in her younger years.
She is survived by her brother, James DeBastiani and his wife Barbara of Georgetown; a sister, Bobbie DeBastiani of Lewes; four nieces, Annette DeBastiani and her husband Bryan Boyer of Wilmington, Mary Caligiure and her spouse Chris of Millsboro, and Toni and Tess DeBastiani of Lewes; a great-niece, Francesca Caligiure of Millsboro; and two great-nephews, Amadeo Caligiure of Millsboro, and Brock Boyer of Wilmington.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, Nov. 4, at Madonna del Castello Catholic Church in Swissvale, Pa. Interment was at All Saints Braddock Catholic Cemetery in Pittsburgh, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Louise’s name to a Catholic charity of choice.
