Rehoboth Concert Band, with guest vocalist Jerry Birl, will present Holiday Peace at 3 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 18, at Epworth United Methodist Church, 19285 Holland Glade Road, Rehoboth Beach.
Tickets are $20 per person. Ages 18 and under are admitted free. To buy tickets, go to rehobothconcertband.org or pay at the door if seats are available.
Holiday Peace will offer both new and traditional musical selections ranging from the angelic majesty of “And the Mountains Echoed,” to a festive ride through “A Cowboy’s Christmas.”
As always, the audience will be entertained with familiar holiday tunes, some with surprising twists, and share in the songs of the season from a variety of cultures.
The true message of the holiday will be delivered by “The Wexford Carol,” a beautiful ancient Irish carol offering both reflection and wonder.
“The music truly brings together all the reasons for the season, delivering a message of unity and peace,” said Sharon Still, director.
The band consists of professionally trained performers, recreational musicians and talented students from the Cape Region. RCB’s mission statement is to provide area instrumentalists opportunities to make beautiful music while enriching community life.
