A Millsboro woman was cited Jan. 5 after a two-car crash on Route 24.
The crash happened at 11:22 a.m. when a Nissan Sentra driven by the woman, 87, was heading eastbound on Route 24 and she tried to turn left onto Plantation Road, said Sgt. India Sturgis of the Delaware State Police.
At the same time, Sturgis said, a Millsboro man, 45, was driving a Honda Civic westbound on Route 24, when the Nissan drove into its path, causing the cars to collide.
The woman and a passenger, 61, from Millsboro, were taken to an area hospital; the Honda driver did not claim injury at the time of the crash, Sturgis said.
The woman was cited with failing to yield the right of way.
