Events This Weekend in Delaware and Maryland
The weather has been a bit up and down lately, with one day feeling like spring and the next snapping us back into reality as we realize it's still late February.
With that in mind, we've got a handful of fun and worthwhile events to tell you about this week in our "Weekender Blog," brought to you every week by the real estate professionals at the Oldfather Group of Compass RE.
From Rehoboth Beach northward up into New Castle County and southeastern Pennsylvania, we've got you covered this week if you want to get out and have a little fun during this last weekend in February.
Pick your favorite and have a great couple of days with family and friends!
We begin this week, however, with an event that has a bit more of a serious tone, brought to you by the good folks at Beebe Healthcare, in partnership with the Atlantic Sands.
Let's get right to it...
Rehoboth Health Fair (February 25)
This wintertime event is scheduled for the Atlantic Sands Hotel on the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk and will take place between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., on Saturday, February 25.
Organized by Beebe Healthcare, officials will be on hand to administer health screenings. Health care professionals will also be available to answer any health-related questions you may have.
This event will be held on the third floor ballroom at the Atlantic Sands. Vendors and various community organizations will also be on-site during the course of the five-hour event.

Georgetown Fire Department Oyster Eat (February 24)
This event is being held for the 86th time in 2023 and is again scheduled for the last Friday in February at the Georgetown Volunteer Fire Company on South Bedford Street.
The oyster eat has always been a stag event and it continues to be so in 2023. It's an opportunity for men in the area to gather and celebrate a uniquely southern Delaware tradition.
In addition to raw and steamed oysters, there will also be egg salad sandwiches, hot dogs, beverages and live music by the Key Stone Mountain Boys.
The 2023 oyster eat begins at 8 p.m., on Friday night. Tickets are $40.
