The Women's Club of Milton awarded $2,000 scholarships to four women residing in Milton and entering their freshman year of college.

All graduates of Cape Henlopen High School, the successful applicants were judged on their academics, community involvement  and extracurricular activities.

During the pandemic, Madison Drake founded the Lewes chapter of Letters for Rose which created and distributed letters to elders residing in the Milford Veterans Home and Harbor Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. In her last semester of high school, Madison worked as a civil engineering intern at a local firm. She will be pursuing a degree in aerospace engineering at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.

Stella Dutton plans to pursue a career in forensic science at West Virginia University. While at Cape, Stella was a member of the school's dance team. She has appeared in local theatre productions, and trained in classical ballet for 15 years. Throughout her school years, Stella played the flute in concert band, symphonic band and wind ensemble.

Recipient Anna Fantoli said, "What began as a love of plants and flowers, has grown into a passion for the environment." She has volunteered for the Milton Garden Club, planted and maintained the garden at the Milton firehouse, and performed docent duties for Mill Pond Garden. During COVID, Fantoli taught herself how to make candles and started her own company called Anna Banana's Candles. Anna will study forestry and environmental science at the University of Vermont.

Anna Nauman’s extracurricular activities include the National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, Operation Smile leader, Best Buddies, and the Unified Basketball Team. She has a personal interest in Phelan-McDermid Syndrome and participates in fundraising for the rare disorder. Anna’s teachers say she is positive role model for students with disabilities. Anna will attend the University of North Carolina Wilmington, focusing on a major in elementary and special education.
