Beachcombers Corvette Club show Aug. 19 to raise funds for local charities
The Beachcombers Corvette Club of Southern Delaware will hold its Annual Charity Open Car Show from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 19, at First State Chevrolet, Route 113, Georgetown.
All years, makes and models are welcome. There will be professional judging of the cars, and dash plaques will be given for the first 100 entries. Registration will take place from 8 to 11 a.m. on show day, and the fee is $20 per vehicle. Net proceeds benefit the Shepherd’s Office in Georgetown and the Delaware Tech Scholarship Fund.
The show is free to spectators. Trophy presentation will take place between noon and 12:30 p.m. Music will be provided by Jersey John’s Tunes and Trivia. Refreshments available on site include ice cream truck Cup ‘R Cone, and food truck offerings by Tipsy Flamingo. There is no rain date for the event.
