Duane Betts to play Room at Cedar Grove Oct. 19
Duane Betts, son of the legendary Dickey Betts, will perform at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 19, in The Room at Cedar Grove near Lewes.
Dickey Betts is best known as a founding member of the Allman Brothers Band, which was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1995.
The concert includes a four-course wine dinner to benefit Paul Kares, a nonprofit that supports young performers and culinary artists.
“We are so excited to host Duane, who grew up playing with some of the best musicians in show business,” said Paul Cullen, co-founder of Paul Kares and a former bassist with the rock group Bad Company. “He will perform his latest release, ‘Wild & Precious Life.’”
Duane Betts’ debut album comes after two decades of playing guitar-driven American rock with a foundation based on storytelling.
Tickets are $125 each, including the wine dinner. To purchase, go to paulkaresde.org.
