Paradise Companies recently donated $5 for every angler registered in its Bay Pounder Tournament to support the kids served by the Oak Orchard Boys & Girls Club.
Organizers thanked Luke Horney for donating $2,000 of his winnings, second-place winner John Coffey for donating another $2,000 of his winnings, and Jeff Behney and Rick’s Bait & Tackle donating their $500 Calcutta winnings. The event also raised money through a raffle auction on the final day.
Paradise Companies representatives toured the club campus to learn about an upcoming playground project, and gathered with Oak Orchard Boys & Girls Club reps and children for a check presentation in the amount of $9,610 from the event proceeds.
Barbara Ann Racine-Kerezsi, event coordinator, said, “Thank you again, from all of us here at Paradise Companies, for your continued support! We must say, with the help of all of you, big things are coming in the future for this incredible organization!”
