Harlem Wizards to play Cape Crusaders Nov. 12 at high school

Sunrise Rotary sponsors event to raise funds for district projects
November 6, 2023

The Rehoboth Beach Sunrise Rotary Club will sponsor a basketball game between the Cape Crusaders and the Harlem Wizards Sunday, Nov. 12, at Cape Henlopen High School, Lewes. Doors open at 3 p.m. with tip-off at 4 p.m.

The Harlem Wizards are a professional basketball team who, rather than focusing on winning games, deliver wildly successful fundraiser events for schools and nonprofits. Last season alone, the Wizards brought their Trick Hoops and Alley Oops to more than 450 communities across the United States.

The Cape Crusaders are a local team consisting of Cape Henlopen School District teachers, administrators and support personnel, along with community leaders. They will challenge the Wizards, and all proceeds from the game will benefit the district through the Sunrise Rotary funding such projects as travel to the Odyssey of the Mind, First Tee, dictionaries for third-graders and more.

Tickets will be available through the Wizards website, pretix.eu/harlemwizards; scroll down to the Nov. 12 event. Prices start at $15.
