Literacy Delaware rep to address AAUW Feb. 15
The Coastal Georgetown Branch of the American Association of University Women will meet at 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 15, at Big Fish Grill, Rehoboth Beach.
Guest speaker Dale Ashera-Davis, Literacy Delaware training coordinator, will discuss the organization’s mission to advance adult literacy in Delaware through training, tutoring, English language acquisition and advocacy.
A former nurse working in both direct care and medical research, Ashera-Davis trained in adult literacy and volunteered with the York County Literacy Council in Pennsylvania. She began tutoring with Literacy Delaware in 2019, and in June 2020 was chosen as the Sussex County coordinator responsible for tutor orientation, tutor training and professional development support.
