For the second straight year, it rained during the Rehoboth Art League’s annual Rehoboth Beach Arts Festival May 18 in Grove Park. Just like last year, fans and buyers of art turned out anyway for the fourth annual event.

Nick Serratore, RAL exhibitions director, said there was a large crowd as soon as the festival opened up, and people left with art they just bought soon after. The important thing, he said, was the rain held off while the artists were setting up.

The all-day event is held annually the weekend before Memorial Day and features dozens of vendors around the park’s paths.

Rehoboth Art League offers classes and small shows year-round, but its next big event will be the Cottage Tour, which takes place 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday, July 9, and Wednesday, July 10. Tickets are now available.

Rehoboth Art League, 12 Dodds Lane, Henlopen Acres, is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and noon to 4 p.m., Sunday. For information on future events and exhibits, call 302-227-8408 or go to rehobothartleague.org.
