Wags, Whiskers and Wine to benefit HAP June 14

Humane Animal Partners will host Wags, Whiskers and Wine, a summer soiree fundraiser, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., Friday, June 14, at Honey Bee Barn at Hopkins Heartland, 29090 Fisher Road, Milton.

Proceeds will support the lifesaving work of HAP, which includes animal adoption services; low-cost wellness, vaccine and spay/neuter services; and a free pet food pantry for community members in need.

Guests will enjoy wine, beer and delicious bites from Bethany Blues, along with live acoustic music from Matt Lafferty and the Pros from Dover. Yard games, raffle baskets, prizes and of course, adoptable furry friends will also be part of the action.

Attendees are welcome to bring their well-mannered four-legged friends, which must be kept on a non-retractable leash in their owners’ care at all times.

“We can’t wait to celebrate our lifesaving mission with fellow animal lovers in the beautiful setting of Honey Bee Barn at Hopkins Heartland,” said Leigh McKinley, HAP Sussex County director. “Our work wouldn’t be possible without our generous supporters, and we look forward to the opportunity to raise a glass alongside them during this fun evening benefiting our animals.”
