Amish Outlaws Rock the Docks

Popular Cape May-Lewes Ferry concert series continues throughout summer
July 6, 2024

The Amish Outlaws have become one of the most popular bands in the Mid-Atlantic region with concerts in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and even Ohio this year.

They performed to a large crowd June 26 at the Cape May-Lewes ferry terminal as part of the Rocking the Docks Music Series.

Sporting Amish hats, shirts and suspenders, half of the band members were born and raised in Lancaster, Pa., under strict Amish upbringing. At 16, when they took part in Rumspringa, which allows teens to go outside the church and experience life, they did not return to their families. However, they do have contact with them today and have not been shunned, according to the band’s website.

The Outlaws have a full schedule of concerts and private events throughout the year. They will perform in eastern Sussex County Thursday, July 15, at Milton Theatre; Sunday, Sept. 1, at Lighthouse Cove in Dewey Beach; Saturday, July 13, at Seacrets in Ocean City, Md.; and Saturday, Aug. 10, at the Flounder Pounder Fishing Tournament at Paradise Grill in Long Neck.
