Film society to screen National Theatre Live’s ‘Dear England’

July 15, 2024

The Rehoboth Beach Film Society announced its upcoming screenings of National Theatre Live’s “Dear England,” a new play by James Graham. Joseph Fiennes plays the lead in a gripping examination of nation and game. The country that gave the world football has since delivered a painful pattern of loss. Why can’t England’s men win at their own game? With the worst track record for penalties in the world, Gareth Southgate knows he needs to open his mind and face up to the years of hurt, to take team and country back to the promised land.

Screenings will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 17, and 6 p.m., Saturday, July 20, at the Cinema Art Theater near Lewes.

Admission is $20 for members, $25 for general audiences, $22 for seniors and $10 for students, with student tickets available only at the theater box office, 17701 Dartmouth Drive, Lewes. All other tickets may be purchased at the box office or at rehobothfilm.com.
