The Lightship Overfalls will hold its third and final family fun program of the season, Why Knot, at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 14, on the grounds near the ship at Canalfront Park, Lewes.
Aboard ships, many types of knots serve different purposes. Participants will explore the ship, hunting for knots lightship sailors used, learn how to tie some of them and leave with a craft involving some knot work.
The event is free and open to children 5-12 years old.
