Christian Grace, LLC Teams Up with CLH Health Services to Bring
Addiction Recovery and Mental Health Resources to Residents’ Doorstep

For people returning from treatment or incarceration, transitional housing is often a crucial first step in recovery.  Peer support in a safe, clean-living environment increases the odds of successful integration into the community and allows time and space for healing relationships with loved ones.   However, when arriving alone after a long period of extremely structured days at a facilty, acclimating to the real-world can quickly become overwhelming and daunting.

A new partnership between Christian Grace, LLC  and CLH Health Services adds an important advantage for all arriving residents.

Hunter Hastings of CLH Health Services explains, “Residents are quite literally working to rebuild their lives, and arrive facing all of life’s challenges fresh out on their own. They’ll need to obtain or re-establish many basic services, and each will have unique and numerous needs.”

The first two weeks at a sober living house are a critical period, where avoiding relapse may depend on the availability of important resources and the guidance of experienced professionals.

“CLH Health Services was founded to provide personally tailored mental health and addiction services based on an individual’s unique needs,” said Hastings.
Until now, most sober living homes provided little more than basic housing. Residents are provided a bed with clean sheets and towels, given a tour and reminded of the rules of the house.   They’re often left on their own to make the connections necessary to find work, obtain medical insurance coverage, set up appointments, find a mental health counselor; or perhaps they need a phone, clothes, toiletries, food or other available benefits.

Christian Grace sober living homes offered referrals to resources for all these important necessities, but residents needed to arrange each service on their own often without transportation, from several differemt entities, and sometimes without even a phone.

David Forman, President of Christian Grace, LLC said, “Teaming up with CLH Health Services, Is a game changer.  Professional support no longer ends upon arrival, it now literally comes to the front door.”

Arriving residents work with a CLH team member to create a real-time recovery plan.  A basic “Wellness Assessment,” happens on-site, at which time individuals can choose to accept or decline a number of mental health and addiction recovery services..  The assessment and recovery plan is a requirement of residence, but services are voluntray and optional.  All are paid for by medicaid or medical insurance and are always free to residents.
