Children’s Beach House hosts beach BBQ fundraiser

Children’s Beach House in Lewes held its annual Beach BBQ fundraiser Aug. 24, drawing more than 300 supporters who were eager to contribute to a good cause and say goodbye to summer.

The event featured music by DJ Shelly and Grammy-nominated country artist Jimmie Allen, a live auction, and a variety of barbecue dishes, all set against the scenic backdrop of Delaware Bay. Attendees enjoyed a fun-filled evening while learning about the organization’s mission to support children with special needs and their families.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will directly benefit the programs offered by Children’s Beach House, which include summer camps, after-school activities and family support services.

Rich Garrett, executive director of Children’s Beach House, expressed his gratitude to the community for its generous support, noting the funds raised will play a crucial role in continuing the organization's work.
