The Friends of Cape Henlopen State Park will host its annual chocolate tasting from 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 7, at the Officer’s Club in the park. Park entrance fees will be in effect.

The event features chocolate candy and baked goods prepared by local volunteers. Admission of $8 is good for six tastes. Additional tastes go for 50 cents each.

Chocolate baked goods will also be available for purchase to take home. Attendees are asked not to bring their own containers.

The event also includes a 50/50 raffle.

A must for both chocolate enthusiasts and park supporters, the event benefit the Friends education fund, which has provided financial assistance to more than 1,500 students, allowing them to attend nature programs at the park.

Families can also enjoy the playground, play a game of disc golf, relax on the beach or simply soak in the natural beauty of the park.
