Sussex Habitat hosts project partners from Guatemala

Sussex County Habitat for Humanity recently welcomed representatives from Habitat for Humanity Guatemala for a partnership update.

A portion of unrestricted funds raised through Sussex Habitat’s tithe program supports Habitat for Humanity’s mission in Guatemala to provide affordable and safe housing options to families in need.

During the visit, Habitat Guatemala's team presented positive outcomes achieved through this partnership over the past year. The collaboration demonstrates Sussex Habitat's commitment to addressing housing needs both locally and globally.

"While our primary mission continues to be serving Sussex County families, we're proud to support Habitat's international work through our tithe program," said Kevin Gilmore, Sussex Habitat CEO. "This partnership allows us to extend our impact beyond our local community while maintaining our strong commitment to Sussex County."

In February, partners from the Sussex Habitat team, including Gilmore, will travel to Guatemala to participate in a build project, working alongside local families and members of other local Habitat for Humanity affiliates.
