Veterans Day is a very important day to recognize the service and sacrifice of all veterans of this great country. All Americans have the responsibility to remember veterans who have given and continue to give so much to our country. Whether deployed or home ported, our military stands ready to respond at a moment’s notice to any conflict around the globe.
The Veterans of Foreign War Post 7447 had the honor to host the Veterans Day ceremony at the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand Nov. 11. I would like to publicly thank the following: City of Rehoboth Beach, Rehoboth Beach Police Department, Rehoboth Beach Public Works Department, distinguished visitors, participants and, most of all, the members of the community who attended the ceremony. The event was well attended by the public which was greatly appreciated. I’d especially like to thank the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand team who assisted with the audio/music and the police department who supplied officers for security and traffic control.
Again, thanks to all who attended the ceremony, and supported our local veterans.
