Gingerbread building showcase set at Beracah Homes Dec. 7

Beracah Homes will host its gingerbread building competition showcase from 8 to 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 7, in Greenwood.

The design studio will be transformed into a festive wonderland showcasing intricate, imaginative creations built by 12 teams of Beracah employees.

Community members are invited to enjoy coffee and treats as they survey the entries and vote for their favorite house. Visitors will drop tickets into designated buckets to determine the top three winners.

The gingerbread building competition begins in late October with employees being paired and breaking into teams. They plan and work on their houses during the workweek. Using sheets of cardboard to represent gingerbread and a set amount of candy, icing and decorations, the teams unleash their creativity to create stunning and whimsical holiday houses.
