Dave Marshall pickleball event supports Community Resource Center

Dave Marshall Tennis & Pickleball held a pickleball tournament Nov. 16 to benefit the Community Resource Center’s winter clothes drive.

Participants and sponsors donated more than 300 pieces of clothing.

“The donation represents a great boost to the CRC’s winter clothing distribution program. We have been able to give away more than 400 pieces of clothing to our neighbors in need thanks to generous local businesses like Dave Marshall Tennis & Pickleball supporting our mission,” said Nancy Alexander, Community Resource Center director. “Winter clothing allows working folks to stay warm on their commutes, children to stay warm on the way to school, and the homeless to stay warm when they are on the move. We are so very grateful for this gift.”

Based in Rehoboth Beach, CRC services include emergency assistance, a baby pantry, job center, day center and food rescue.
