Delaware Football Club 2014 Boys win Hempfield Fall Classic
In its 39th year, the Hempfield Fall Classic: Boys Weekend showcased exceptional youth soccer talent Nov. 23-24, hosting teams from U9 to U19.
Among the tournament's standout performers, the Delaware Football Club 2014 Boys South squad captured its second consecutive championship, continuing a remarkable season of success.
The tournament began Nov. 23, with DEFC securing a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Southern Lehigh U11 Boys. Later that day, DEFC faced Penn United Soccer Academy Foxes 2014 and delivered a commanding performance, earning a 3-1 win to dominate group play.
In the Nov. 24 semifinal, DEFC faced hometown rivals Delmarva Rush 2014 Boys. In a high-energy match, DEFC showcased its skill and determination, claiming a decisive 3-0 victory to advance to the championship game. In the final, DEFC faced Southern Lehigh U11 Boys for the second time. With a stellar defensive effort and sharp offensive play, DEFC secured a 2-0 shutout to clinch the tournament title.
