The Friends of Canalfront Park announced the lineup for its seven summer concerts, set for 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Thursdays, in Lewes Canalfront Park, 211 Front St., Lewes.
Sponsored by generous local businesses, concerts are free and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and dancing shoes for a night of entertainment under the summer sky.
June 19, the Gatsby Gang jazz band will blend the timeless charm of the roaring ‘20s with modern energy.
July 3, the Funsters will celebrate Independence Day early with their captivating energy and hits spanning decades.
July 17, Mike Hines and The Look will bring their high-energy groove to deliver an electrifying mix of funk, soul and pop favorites.
July 31, Williams Brothers, a favorite local duo, will play familiar classic rock, and deliver a dynamic and engaging performance.
Aug. 14, Charlie and the Cooltones will play smooth jazz and lively rhythms that are sure to leave everyone smiling.
Sep. 4, Lower Case Blues, an award-winning, Delaware-based trio, will perform an unforgettable night of soulful blues, rock and funk.
Sept. 18, The Funsters will end the concert series on a high note with an encore performance.
“We are excited to bring back the summer concert series this year. Kurt Saeger and the Friends of Canalfront Park have put together a great lineup,” said Steve Forestieri, a Friends volunteer. “This event highlights what makes Lewes so special – community, culture and the support of our wonderful local businesses.”
