Nancy Elizabeth Williams, loving homemaker
Nancy Elizabeth (Tunis) Williams, 78, of Milford, passed away peacefully at her granddaughter's home Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Nancy was born in Lewes, daughter of the late Frank A. and Dorlena (Baynum) Tunis. She was raised and attended school in Milton. She was a loving homemaker who enjoyed being with her family. Nancy enjoyed all pets, especially cats and dogs, and she loved a good game of bingo. In later years, Nancy worked with her daughter as an aide in taxi transport. She recently attended and became a member of Crossroad Community Church.
In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, George Williams; four siblings, Herbie Tunis, Donald Tunis, Buddy Tunis and Marie Melvin; and a nephew, Anthony Willey.
She is survived by her four daughters, Patti Pettyjohn, Paula Brown, Georgia O’Connell and Mildred Marshall; seven grandchildren, Lisa Moreland, Craig Pettyjohn, Inga Lambert, Matthew Baker, twins Danielle and Michelle Brown and Destiny Mills; 12 great-grandchildren, James Baker, Madison Baker, Lucas Brasure, Brayden Brasure, Beau Cropper, Natalynn Sockriter, Stella Sockriter, Colby Jester, Carla Pettyjohn, Julian Pettyjohn, Makayla Lambert and Layla Lambert; four siblings, Shirley Littleton, Billy Tunis, Patsy Murphy and Linda Greene; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A celebration of life will be held from noon to 5 p.m., Saturday, March 8, at Etta’s Catering, 319 S. Rehoboth Blvd., Milford.
