(N. Cape May, NJ) This summer from July 11 through August 29, 2012, the Cape May-Lewes Ferry will be hosting Lighthouse Pete the Pirate’s Family Fun Cruises once a week from both the Cape May and Lewes terminals.  Bring the family on a fun-filled adventure across the Delaware Bay where you can enjoy beautiful views and live entertainment.  The Ferry’s own mascot, Lighthouse Pete the Pirate, will accompany you on-board along with face painting, live musical trios and children’s entertainment.  Food and beverages will also be available for purchase on the vessel.

“These round-trip cruises, which cater to kids, music fans and romantics alike, offer a memorable way to experience the Cape May- Lewes Ferry and the wonders of the Delaware Bay as a foot passenger,” said Charisse Rudolph, customer service manager for the Ferry.  “The entertainment is free with your round trip ferry ticket.  Come out and join us.  It’s great fun for the entire family!”

On Wednesdays, the round-trip Family Fun Cruise departs from Cape May at 6:00 p.m.   While enjoying the ferry ride, New Jersey foot passengers can sway to the music of either JUMPER or ANIMAL HOUSE.  Lighthouse Pete the Pirate will be joined by Magician Ken Northridge and face painting to entertain the little ones.

Departing on Thursdays from Lewes at 4:15 p.m., Delaware foot passengers will enjoy a round trip Family Fun Cruise accompanied by the musical group, ELECTRIC VELVET TRIO; Lighthouse Pete the Pirate; Mike Warren’s “Just Kidding Around”; and face painting. It is a boatload of entertainment for the children.  Great fun for the entire family!

The entertainment is free with the purchase of a round trip foot passenger ticket, which are 18.00 for guests 14 years of age and older; $9.00 for those between the ages of 6-13, and free for children ages 5 and under.  Due to limited capacity and popularity of the event, reservations are recommended.
