Frank DelGaudio Jr., retired police officer

Frank DelGaudio Jr., 68, of Milton, passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, with his loving family by his side. He was born Aug. 4, 1944, in Queens, N.Y., son of the late Frank DelGaudio Sr. and Lucille Cuoco DelGaudio.

Mr. DelGaudio was a retired Suffolk County Police Officer on Long Island, N.Y. After retirement, he and his wife relocated to Delaware and he was finally able to live out a lifelong dream of becoming a general contractor. He was a member of Kings Creek Country Club, St. Edmond Catholic Church and a very loyal New York Yankee's fan.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Carlstrom DelGaudio; three sons: Chris DelGaudio of Milton, Craig DelGaudio and wife Karla of Milton and Frank DelGaudio III and wife Ashley of Salisbury, Md.; one daughter, Jenna McElwain and husband Brian of BelAir, Md.; 10 grandchildren: Megan, Brooke, Veronica, Conor, Griffin, Jack, Joseph, George, Frankie and Emma; and his sister, Diane Mayo of Myrtle Beach, S.C. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Dennis DelGaudio.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 29, at St. Edmond Catholic Church, 409 King Charles Ave., Rehoboth Beach. Interment will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
